There’s a New Kid on the Block
For business to be conducted effectively the requirement for a world class aviation experience has become more significant than ever before.
A new charter operator, Quintessential Aviation, has been launched to meet the demanding requirements of clients for a world class air charter operator, based on unrivalled professionalism with an emphasis on customer experience.
“We have joined forces with the best of the best,” says Jack Coetzee, Managing Director of Quintessential Aviation. “We have procured an aircraft that has not only a proven capability in performance and reach, but also provides a world class experience for our customers. After a lengthy search, we selected the Bombardier Challenger 300. We believe that this aircraft is a leader in its class and is capable of fulfilling our service offering on the African continent and beyond. Additionally, we have partnered with a leading figure of the South African aviation community in Captain Larry Beamish, who manages the aircraft and is our chief pilot. With over 20,000 hours, Larry brings with him unrivalled experience in the cockpit, and is also the best person to make sure our aircraft is serviceable, and the on-board experience is unsurpassed.”
Quintessential Aviation is the brainchild of Quinton van der Burgh, a South African entrepreneur and self-made billionaire. “At first aviation was just a means to an end for me,” says van der Burgh. “We acquired a helicopter a few years ago to get to our coal mines in Mpumalanga two or three times a week. This enabled me to have early meetings at our head office in Sandton, then be collected with my helicopter from a helipad in Bryanston, visit two or three mines, and still be back in Sandton for late afternoon meetings. Aviation bought me invaluable time,” added van der Burgh.
“Then I began chartering business jets for flying between Johannesburg and Cape Town, as well as entertaining clients from our partners in Europe and the USA. I became intrigued at the prospect of owning an aircraft, rather than having to charter one. This was when we engaged with Larry and he was instrumental in offering us more than just an aircraft, but a business opportunity. After doing the sums, I realised that this would work. So I did it,” adds van der Burgh.
“I also did my homework regarding whom I believed can offer the service that echoes my approach to professionalism, and there was no hesitation in partnering with ExecuJet. They have been nothing short of brilliant in accommodating my every request, and I know this service level is standard on all of our charters. I’m starting to really enjoy aviation, and I know that our offering will meet our clients’ every need, as it has with mine.”
